Directions

FROM YORK/BALTIMORE AREAS: Take I-83 North to the PA Turnpike (I-76).  Take the Turnpike to Harrisburg East Exit 247.  Use the toll booth farthest to the right, so that you can get on Route 283-East.  Continue to the Middletown/Hummelstown Exit (3rd exit).  The ramp will go into a “Y” pattern (stay to the right into Middletown).  Continue 1 mile on Middletown Road (Vine St.) to the first traffic light.  Turn right onto Main Street.  Go ONE BLOCK ONLY and turn left onto Race Street.  Continue about 8 blocks, cross the railroad track and turn right at the M & H Railroad sign in to the gravel parking area. Continue thru the RR yard to the Station at the other end of the yard.  An ADA ramp and bathrooms are located by the Station.

FROM PHILADELPHIA: Take the I-76 PA Turnpike West to Harrisburg East Exit 247 . Go thru the toll booth and  take Rt 283 East to the Middletown & Hummelstown Exit (about 2 ½ miles). The ramp will go into a “Y” pattern (stay to the right into Middletown).  Continue 1 mile on Middletown Road (Vine St.) to the first traffic light.  Turn right onto Main Street.  Go ONE BLOCK ONLY and turn left onto Race Street.  Continue about 8 blocks, cross the railroad track and turn right at the M & H Railroad sign in to the gravel parking area. Continue thru the RR yard to the Station at the other end of the yard.  An ADA ramp and bathrooms are located by the Station.

FROM PITTSBURGH AND OHIO AREAS:  Take the I-76 Pennsylvania Turnpike to Harrisburg East Exit 247.  Take right turn on to Rte 283 East to the Middletown/Hummelstown Exit.   The ramp will go into a “Y” pattern (stay to the right into Middletown).  Continue 1 mile on Middletown Road (Vine St.) to the first traffic light.  Turn right onto Main Street.  Go ONE BLOCK ONLY and turn left onto Race Street.  Continue about 8 blocks, cross the railroad track and turn right at the M & H Railroad sign in to the gravel parking area. Continue thru the RR yard to the Station at the other end of the yard.  An ADA ramp and bathrooms are located by the Station.

FROM EASTERN PA: Take I-78 West to I-81 South to I-83 South.  Follow the signs to the Airport to I-283 South to Route 283 East to the Middletown and Hummelstown Exit. The ramp will go into a “Y” pattern (stay to the right into Middletown).  Continue 1 mile on Middletown Road (Vine St.) to the first traffic light.  Turn right onto Main Street.  Go ONE BLOCK ONLY and turn left onto Race Street.  Continue about 8 blocks, cross the railroad track and turn right at the M & H Railroad sign in to the gravel parking area. Continue thru the RR yard to the Station at the other end of the yard.  An ADA ramp and bathrooms are located by the Station.

FROM Eastern PA:  Take I-78 West to I-81South to I-83 South (watch signs for the Airport) to
I-283 South to Route 283 East to the Middletown and Hummelstown Exit.  The ramp will go into a “Y” pattern (stay to the right).  Continue 1 mile on Middletown Road to the first traffic light.  Turn right onto Main Street.  Go ONE BLOCK ONLY and turn left onto North Race Street.  There is a J&J Pizza on that corner.  Continue about 7 blocks, cross first set of railroad tracks and immediately turn right into the parking area.  Continue west to the red brick Station to collect your tickets and board the train.

FROM HARRISBURG: Take I-83 South to I- 283 South to PA-283 East to the Middletown and Hummelstown Exit.  The ramp will go into a “Y” pattern (stay to the right into Middletown).  Continue 1 mile on Middletown Road (Vine St.) to the first traffic light.  Turn right onto Main Street.  Go ONE BLOCK ONLY and turn left onto Race Street.  Continue about 8 blocks, cross the railroad track and turn right at the M & H Railroad sign in to the gravel parking area. Continue thru the RR yard to the Station at the other end of the yard.  An ADA ramp and bathrooms are located by the Station.

FROM HERSHEY: Take Route 322 West to Middletown & Hummelstown Exit.  At the top of the exit ramp turn left.  Go to the traffic light and turn right.  Go to the next traffic light, turn left onto Middletown Road.  Pass the entrance to Indian Echo Caverns and continue 5 miles.  Go past the East/West entrance to Rte 283, and continue to the first traffic light in Middletown.  Turn Right onto Main Street.  Go one block ONLY!  and turn left on to Race Street.  Go 8 blocks, cross the  railroad track and turn right  at the M&H Railroad sign into the gravel parking area.  Continue thru the RR yard to the Station at the other end of the yard.  An ADA ramp and bathrooms are located by the Station.

FROM LANCASTER COUNTY:  Take Route 283 West to the Middletown & Hummelstown Exit.  Turn left onto Middletown Road (Vine St) and continue to the traffic light at Main Street (Rte 230).  Turn right onto Main Street.  Go one block ONLY.  Turn left on to Race Street.  Go 8 blocks, cross the  railroad track and turn right  at the M&H Railroad sign into the gravel parking area.  Continue thru the RR yard to the Station at the other end of the yard.  An ADA ramp and bathrooms are located by the Station.
