Ride Guide – Rules & Info

RIDE RULES & INFORMATION

  • ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Refunds will be issued if a train ride has been canceled.
  • RATES & SCHEDULES are subject to change.
  • NO SMOKING permitted on train.
  • NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES permitted on train or on premises.
  • NO PETS are permitted on train.
  • PROMOTIONAL PHOTOS: By purchasing a ticket, you agree to allow M&H Railroad and/or its representatives to use any photos taken for promotional or advertising purposes.
  • AVAILABILITY – While ride scheduling is in progress, booking may not yet be available for certain rides or events. Please check back or call our office for availability at 717-944-4435 Option 1.
  • DEPARTURES – Trains must leave on time. ARRIVE AT LEAST 30 MINUTES BEFORE scheduled departure time to check in and be seated. The conductor will help you find your seats.
  • RESERVATIONS – All of our events and rides do now require reservations, including M&H Express Regular Schedule rides.
  • Coupons and special discounts are for Regular Schedule train rides only.
  • SPECIAL EVENT TRAIN SEATING – If you intend to ride with friends, reservations should be made together because you will choose your own seats, or you may call the reservation clerk to help you.
  • DINNER TRAINS – Seating is usually 4-6 people per table. If you have more than 6 people in your party, we will seat the other members of your party nearby if you let us know at time of booking.
  • GIFT CERTIFICATES may be purchased online or by calling 717-944-4435 Option 1 (or toll-free 877-9TRAIN9 Option 1) between 10am & 5pm, Monday thru Friday. Gift certificates can be sent by postal mail or email.
  • RESTROOMS  – The original single restroom on train is NOT modern and not designed for heavy use (remember these are historic coaches, over 100 years old!) and this on-board restroom is to be used ONLY in emergencies. Modern restroom facilities are located inside the gift shop & station to be used BEFORE AND AFTER train rides.
  • SCHEDULES are adhered to as much as possible; however, the railroad reserves the right to change schedules or equipment as operating conditions require.
  • ADA ACCESSIBILITY –  We are ADA ACCESSIBLE; however, motorized wheelchairs will not fit through coach doorways. Manual wheelchairs not wider than 26” including bumpers can be accommodated. If you require further information or assistance, please speak with the reservations clerk ahead of time or see the ticket agent.
  • DON’T GET SCAMMED!  Tickets are only available by clicking our ticketing links or by calling 717-944-4435. Please, never purchase tickets from strangers on social media claiming they have extra or can’t use theirs for some reason – it’s a scam.
